Where We Are with PIRI-1
We want to be clear and straightforward about our status. PIRI-1 (Psychometry Investigative Research Instrument) is still in active development and testing. Over the last three years, we’ve run internal evaluations and simulated case work to harden the hardware, refine operator routines, and build governance around how sessions are run and reviewed.
We are now ready to begin carefully supervised, real-life evaluations with qualified law-enforcement partners—especially where a fresh lead could help move a case forward.
What We’re Offering Right Now
• Case-by-case participation (no cost to law enforcement during testing).
We will consider cold cases and missing-person investigations where a relevant object can be lawfully provided under chain-of-custody.
• A structured, leads-only process.
PIRI-1 helps a trained operator focus on a case object while the system manages timing, prompts, comfort/safety checks, and encrypted logging. All outputs are “leads” that require independent corroboration.
• Governance and accountability.
We follow documented SOPs, role-based access, redaction rules, and auditable logs. Use requires appropriate legal authority (consent/agency/warrant, as applicable).
Important Disclosures
• This is a testing phase. Results are exploratory and not evidence on their own. We cannot promise outcomes or case resolution.
• Capacity is limited. We cannot accept every request, and we may prioritize cases that best fit the current stage of PIRI-1’s development and our pilot schedule.
• No cost to agencies for test participation. We cover system and evaluation costs during this evaluation window.
Ideal Case Profiles (Examples)
• Missing persons: recent or long-term, where a personal item (lawfully obtained) is available for the session.
• Cold cases: stalled investigations where a structured, documented session could surface new avenues to corroborate.
What Participation Involves
1. Initial screening call (10–20 minutes) to confirm scope, authority, and chain-of-custody.
2. NDA/DC-2 packet (if proceeding) and scheduling at a prepared site.
3. Supervised session following SOPs (pre-routine, timed prompts, post-routine).
4. Output delivery as time-stamped, hashed notes/leads for the agency’s follow-up.
Request Consideration
If your agency has a case that might benefit from a structured, leads-only session, please send:
• Case type (cold case or missing person)
• Confirmed legal authority (consent/agency/warrant)
• Availability of a relevant object under chain-of-custody
• Preferred timeframe and point of contact
We’ll review every request and respond as quickly as we can. While we may not be able to accept all cases, we will listen and let you know if it’s a fit for where PIRI-1 is today.
