Privacy & Confidentiality

Last updated: January 30, 2026

At Advanced Energy Research, privacy and confidentiality are foundational to how we operate PIRI-1 (Psychometry Investigative Research Instrument). This page explains what we protect, who may access information, and how we handle data during evaluations and pilots.

Scope

This policy covers:

    •    All case materials and artifacts associated with PIRI-1 sessions (objects, session notes, time-stamped logs, hashes, redactions, and follow-up summaries).

    •    Any information shared with us by a requesting law-enforcement agency during screening, intake, or pilot operations.

    •    PIRI-1 technical information, documentation, and build/operations data.

Our Non-Disclosure Commitment

    •    We do not disclose case information to any third party—including individuals, companies, attorneys, or other agencies.

    •    Access is strictly limited to the requesting law-enforcement agency that engaged us and the minimal personnel required to operate, secure, and audit the system.

    •    All case data is treated as highly confidential and handled under documented SOPs, with role-based access, audit logs, and need-to-know restrictions.

If we are ever legally compelled to disclose information (e.g., a valid court order), we will limit disclosure to the narrow legal requirement and, when legally permitted, notify the requesting agency before any release.

Data Ownership & Use

    •    Case data belongs to the requesting agency. We safeguard and process it solely to deliver the agreed PIRI-1 session outputs (leads-only documentation) and for internal safety/quality audits.

    •    No secondary use. We do not sell, license, or reuse case data for marketing, model training, or unrelated research.

    •    Export control. Deliverables go only to the requesting agency’s designated contacts under chain-of-custody.

Handling of Case Materials

    •    Intake: Lawful authority verified (consent/agency/warrant, as applicable). Chain-of-custody documented.

    •    During session: Time-stamped prompts; encrypted local logging; operator safety and comfort protocols.

    •    Output: Leads-only notes and session metadata (with hashes) returned to the requesting agency. No public release.

    •    Redaction: Personally identifiable or sensitive operational details are redacted in accordance with the agency’s policy and our DC-2 governance rules.

Storage & Security

    •    Encryption at rest and in transit for all electronic records.

    •    Role-based access controls and audit trails for every access, modification, or export.

    •    Physical security for equipment, media, and session spaces.

    •    Network hygiene & EMI/site prep according to SOPs; removable media use is restricted and logged.

Retention & Deletion

    •    Default retention: Minimal period necessary to deliver outputs and complete agreed validation/audit steps.

    •    Agency control: Upon written request by the authorized agency contact, we will delete or return retained copies, except where retention is legally required. Deletions are logged and verifiable.

PIRI-1 Technical IP & Proprietary Information

    •    PIRI-1 and all technical data (designs, parameters, schematics, firmware, documentation) are confidential and proprietary to AdvancedEnergyResearch.com and its ownership.

    •    No element of this technical information is licensed or assigned unless expressly agreed in writing.

    •    Public communications (DC-1) do not disclose proprietary parameters or schematics; restricted materials (DC-2) require NDA and need-to-know authorization.

Training, Rentals, and Sales (Future Availability)

    •    Law-enforcement departments that complete full PIRI-1 training and governance onboarding will be eligible to rent or purchase systems once live, real-case testing is complete and the platform is cleared for broader deployment.

    •    Until then, all participation occurs under pilot terms and this privacy framework.

Website & Contact Forms (DC-1 Site)

    •    We collect only the information you submit (e.g., name, contact, agency, brief message) to respond to your inquiry.

    •    We do not sell or share contact information.

    •    You may request correction or deletion of your contact data at any time.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this page to reflect improvements in security or governance. Substantive changes will be dated and summarized here.

Plain-English Summary:

Your case data stays between your agency and our secured operations. We don’t share it elsewhere. PIRI-1’s technical details remain our private IP. When the platform completes real-case testing, trained agencies will be able to rent or purchase systems.
